The Austrian Alps are a playground for adults & children alike. Located in the Europa Sports region, the Landhaus Bergner Alm chalet offers the perfect base for anyone seeking an adventure. The abundance of activities in summer & winter leave no-one at a loss of what past-time to pursue. Whether that's hiking above 3,000m to the "Top of Salzburg" on the Kitzsteinhorn; gliding down 408km of groomed ski slopes and through alpine forests, or paddling in the crystal blue waters of Lake Zell, there's something that will surely make every soul sing.

With 408 km of ski pistes on the chalet's doorstep, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned snow-sport enthusiast, you will be sure to find something for you. With easy access to the Kitzsteinhorn of Kaprun, Zell am See's Schmittenhöhe, and Salbaach Hinterglemm's ski-circus, you'll likely need more than one trip!

Love the challenge of a ski tour climb to then be rewarded with an exhilarating decent on untracked terrain? We know the feeling, & are just spoilt for choice here. Whether you love the remoteness of back-country touring, or prefer the more groomed areas, you'll be sure to find a ski-tour for you.

Winter holidays don't just mean skiing & snowboarding, why not try a bit of sledging too! Across from our chalet there is a 3km run totally reserved for sledging. Get picked up in a tractor & driven to the Kohlschnait Alm, where you'll be given your sledge as well as a complimentary schnapps drink. Prost!

With 107km of cross country ski tracks in the region, you're bound to keep busy here if Cross Country Skiing is your activity of choice. The network is varied in routes for beginner, leisure skier & pro, so there are plenty of options to suit your needs. Take a tour near the lake, or past one of the many castles.

If you like ice skating, there are loads of opportunities here. Bruck has a free ice rink near the centre, and there's is also a larger rink in Zell am See. If you enjoy your spectator sport, you can watch our local Ice Hockey team (the Zeller Eisbärens) compete for the title against other talented teams from the area.

This winter wonderland turns in to a hikers paradise when the snow thaws & the buds begin to blossom. There are hundreds of hiking trails on the chalet's doorstep. Easy or hard; long or short, through forested trails or with stunning panoramic views - there is something for every taste and level of fitness here.

There are plenty of cycling tours and trails in the area, whether you're a road cyclist, a mountain biker or prefer your freerides. Take it to the next level and compete with athletes from around the world in one of the many competitions such as the Iron Man 70.3, the famous Glockner König or the TriZell triathlon.

The lake is a playground for any lover of water sports. Whether you prefer SUPs, kayaking of windsurfing, you'll have no end of fun on Lake Zell. There are lots of places to hire the gear, so why not spend the day trying them all, or even rent a kayak and watch the sunset whilst floating peacefully on the waters.

What better way is there to cool off on a hot summer's day than to jump in to the waters of an alpine lake. Paddle in the waters of Lake Zell or simply relax at a lake-side pool sipping  cocktails and soaking up the summer sun. If you're feeling more energetic, why not run or cycle the 11km lake circumference first!

If you prefer sport that gets your heart beating and your blood pumping, you probably enjoy your trail running. The extensive network of trails in the area can take you through some of the prettiest valleys and to some of the highest peaks. It's such an exhilarating way to explore our beautiful area.
