GOLF COURSES

Playing golf is a great way to spend a morning, afternoon or even full day whilst on holiday in the area. There are plenty of different types of golf to pick from near the chalet - normal golf, crazy golf, mini golf and disc golf are all just a stone's throw away, which are all possible from Spring through to late Autumn.

The local 36-hole golf course is great for the more serious golfer looking to get a personal best, whereas the crazy golf in Bruck and disc golf on top of the Schmittenhöhe offer something a little different, and are enjoyable for people of all ages. If you're a real golf fanatic, you could always challenge yourself to try all of them, or arrange a mini tournament between your family and friends on holiday with you. Irrespective of which you choose, you'll have plenty of fun!

The facility consists of fun-filled challenges and obstacles that are sure to keep you entertained for hours. Loop the loop tunnels; bridge crossings, and ponds that you have to hit the ball over, are just a few features in this well-designed adventure golf course. This varied course, which boasts beautiful views of the Bruck castle, is open from 10am until 10pm, Spring through to Autumn. It's a great day activity, and is also so much fun later in the evening on the illuminated track. Why not have lunch or dinner in the beer garden next to the golf course, or perhaps just an ice-cream and  refreshing Hugo in the sun!

FRISBEE GOLF

Golf With A Difference

If you've never tried the sport known as 'Disc Golf', you should give it a go - we have no doubt that you'll have an absolute blast! Similar to normal golf, disc golf takes places on a course, in which you have to complete a certain number of holes with as few strokes as possible. The difference however is that a frisbee replaces the golf ball and club, and instead of holes there are nets that you have to throw the frisbee in. The local disc golf course up on the Schmittenhöhe mountain consists of 18 targets across 3.5km downhill. It starts at 1,850m metres at the Sonnkogel mountain station, and finishes at the Sonnenalm at 1,400 metres. The shortest distance from tee to target is 30m, and the longest is 160m, so it really is something levels. Throughout the course, you'll get to enjoy stunning views over Lake Zell and the surrounding mountain landscape.
