SCHMITTENHÖHE OF ZELL AM SEE
Alpine Skiing
77km of groomed tree-lined pistes, a charming lakeside alpine town, and an outlook towards some of the highest mountain peaks in Austria - welcome to the Austrian ski resort of Zell am See. The balanced mixture of blues, reds, blacks and off-piste challenges is sure to offer you a diverse skiing experience. You can even throw in some jump practice at one of the jump parks or fun slopes; test your racing speed at the Speed-Test Slalom, or your your control and nerves at the black 70% gradient Trass Downhill Challenge. Night skiing is available on certain days of the week, and there are also Night Shows where you can watch the pros perform.
KITZSTEINHORN OF KAPRUN
Glacial Skiing
We all love the Kitzsteinhorn for its guaranteed snow all year round, as well as the added bonus of enabling those snow sports addicts among us to enjoy early and late season skiing too. As the Kitzsteinhorn is partly a glacier, it offers skiable terrain as early as October, through to the end of the season in May. The runs are varied, from easy family-friendly blues, to exhilarating freeride runs and off-piste possibilities. For the more daring among us, there are an abundance of kickers, rails & boxes across multiple parks to practice jumps & tricks. If you'd like to change it up, there are also multiple ski-touring routes waiting to be explored in the Kitzsteinhorn ski arena.
SAALBACH HINTERGLEMM
Austria's Largest Skicircus
Offering a whopping 270km of pistes , 70 lifts, and over 60 cosy alpine huts, it's no wonder that the Saalbach Hinterglemm Skicirucs is considered one of the largest and most diverse in Austria. The varied blues, reds, and blacks will keep you entertained for days on end. Like in the Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn ski areas, there are also opportunities for night time skiing on flood-lit slopes, and sledging on on multiple groomed Rodelbahn tracks. Thanks to the new Zell am See Express, you can now ski over to the Saalbach Hinterglemm Skicircus from the Schmitten, making connection between the areas even more simple and easy.
Why not watch our winter show reel below for a bit of inspiration as to what a holiday in our area could be like. This footage is captured from the three areas covered under the Ski Alpin Ski Card, so should give you a great idea of the area. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, a skier or snowboarder, you're bound to enjoy the 408km of pistes that are on the chalet's doorstep. We had so much fun making the video, and hope you'll enjoy it too. Now let's go skiing!
